What Happens When We Start Telling the Truth About Trauma?(Spoiler: It gets real. Fast.)
Therapy, Trauma & Family Drama (Oh My!)
Hey friends,
It’s been a full month of deep conversations, bold truths, and a few lovingly-delivered mic drops—and I’m so excited to share what’s been going on.
First up: the recording of our latest video event is live! 🎥
We set out to talk about trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy… but like all good convos, we went way deeper. We ended up unpacking workplace harm, exploitation, identity, trauma, and how staying grounded in your body is one of the most radical things you can do. All of it filtered through a lens of systemic oppression and survival.
📝 And if blogs are more your vibe...
I’ve got two new pieces out that are close to my heart:
🔹 Finding Your Way After Religious Trauma
If you've ever felt like you're picking up the spiritual pieces after leaving a high-control religion, this one’s for you. We talk faith, fear, healing, and that awkward in-between space where you’re figuring out what you actually believe.
🔹 Navigating Difficult Family Dynamics
Setting boundaries with family is hard. Walking away is harder. But sometimes, it’s necessary. This post dives into the emotional aftermath of going no-contact (yep, I’ve been there) and how to build something new after cutting ties.
👀 Coming soon...
Keep your eyes peeled for two more spicy posts this month:
✨ Therapy: The Best Worst Thing You’ll Ever Do for Yourself
A love letter (and roast) to the healing journey. Because sometimes growth feels like being emotionally sucker-punched… and still showing up anyway.
✨ ADHD, Autism, and the Struggle of Adult Diagnosis
Why so many of us are late-diagnosed, misdiagnosed, or completely missed by the system. Spoiler: the system wasn’t built for neurodivergent folks—especially those of us who aren’t white, cis, male, or middle-class.
Thanks for being here—for reading, watching, reflecting, unlearning, and healing.
I’m honored to be part of your journey. 💛
With warmth and realness,
